In this quick paced study we’ll show how each book is put together and how they relate to the whole. For the most part, the NT was committed to writing in the form of letters of which Paul’s epistle to the Romans is the most important. Which by the way, was carried by a very courageous woman over many dangerous miles. When grouping these 27 books together, they will deal with beliefs, brethren, and behavior. You can divide the NT up several ways. An very interesting one gives the order: Christian Beliefs: The Fundamental, covering the following books: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Romans. The False: Galatians, Colossians, Hebrews, 2 Corinthians, 2 Timothy, 2 Peter, and Jude. The Future: 1st and 2nd Thessalonians and Revelation. Then under the heading Christian Brethren he has Origins of the Church, Act (of which I could not agree), then Operation of the Church, there’s 1st Corinthians and Ephesians. Next, is the Officers of the Church, 1st Timothy and Titus. Finally, Christian Behavior: Dealing with Situations; Philippians, Dealing with Slavery; Philemon, Dealing with Sincerity; James, Dealing with Suffering; 1 Peter, Dealing with Sonship; 1John, Dealing with Separation; 2John, Dealing with Strife; 3 John I shall try and adopt and alter this most unusual approach as much as possible for this course. I’ll be teaching one part at least from an Independent Missionary Baptist Perspective, concerning church truth.
